Donald “Toby” Lee Kirkley, age 42, of Monrovia, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly following a tragic accident on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. His sudden passing leaves behind a tremendous void in the hearts of his beloved family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.Toby was born in Martinsville, Indiana, on May 19, 1984, to Mark Allen Kirkley and Millicent Lea (Hamilton). A lifelong resident of Morgan County, Toby was a familiar and friendly face to many throughout the community. For many years, he was self-employed as a lawncare specialist and took great pride in owning and operating Kirkley & Family Lawn & Property Maintenance. He had also worked for DHL Supply Chain & Shipping in Clayton, Indiana.On October 12, 2002, Toby married his high school sweetheart and the absolute love of his life, Heather Nicole (Burchfield) Kirkley. Together, they shared nearly 24 years of marriage and built a beautiful family centered around love, laughter, and togetherness. Their greatest blessings were their three children and four beloved grandchildren, whom Toby absolutely adored. He was not only a devoted father and grandfather, but also a “dad” to many of his children’s friends, always willing to offer a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply a place where they felt welcomed and loved.Toby was happiest when he was outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, mushroom hunting, and just about anything that allowed him to spend time outside. He also enjoyed working on cars and riding his motorcycle. He had a special soft spot for animals and rarely met one he didn’t love. Above all, Toby cherished his family. Toby will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his soulmate and wife, Heather Kirkley of Monrovia; son, Levi (Kenzie) Kirkley of Martinsville; daughters, Destiny (Dylan) Kirkley of Martinsville and Mylee (Branson) Kirkley of Monrovia; mother and stepfather, Millie (David) Davidson of Monrovia; maternal grandmother, Betty Hamilton of Mooresville; brothers, Jeremy Kirkley and Scott (Wendi) Newman, both of Martinsville; and his four precious grandchildren, Elijah, Wrenley, Paisley, and Ryker.He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Kirkley, and brother, Casey Kirkley.Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Neal & Summers Funeral Home in Martinsville. A funeral service celebrating Toby’s life will begin at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the funeral home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Mt. John William Wigal, 89, of Paragon, Indiana, a lifetime Morgan County resident, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday evening, September 3, 2026.John was one of nine children born to the late Claude and Cora (Warthen) Wigal. He was born on Friday, April 9, 1937, in Paragon, Indiana. John was known and cherished by everyone who knew him, bringing much light, mischief and joy wherever he went. He truly earned his reputation as the community’s town clown. John would oftentimes be seen riding his moped through town and loved riding to the river, where he enjoyed spending idle time. He also found great joy in gardening, fishing, hunting and trapping.John attended Paragon School and worked most of his life in construction, working alongside his brother, Slug, for Wigal Construction.John leaves behind a host of loving family, including his wife, whom he married on August 12, 1959, Virginia Sue “Suzi” (Daggy) Wigal of Paragon; his sons, Jonathon Wayne Wigal (Amy) of Gosport, Indiana, and Carl Eugene Wigal of Paragon; daughters, Lisa Jane Dickey of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Pamela Sue Thomas (Jeff) of Gosport, Indiana; his sister, Bertha Bryant of Martinsville; grandchildren, Crystal Thomas, Shanell Humphrey (Jacob), Kaitlyn Vehling (Jered), Cheyenne Wigal (Kyle Cherry) and Destanie Dickey; and five great-grandchildren.John was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Arthur “Slug,” James and Dennis Wigal; and four sisters, Violet Stevenson, Lucille Carroll, Virginia Carmichael and Helen Austin.John’s friendly smile and comical personality will be deeply missed and always remembered by those who knew and loved him, especially the town of Paragon.In honoring his wishes, John will be laid to rest at Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon, and there will be no service at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Park Cemetery Association and mailed to 790 Valley Drive, Martinsville, IN 46151.Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center has been entrusted with arrangements.
